Heartland Greenhouses, established in 1990, operates as a seasonal, retail-only business in the area, including Burklands Effingham IL. We provide a wide selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, tropicals, roses, grasses, and succulents to customers throughout south-central Illinois. Some of our most popular offerings include colorful hanging baskets, large geraniums, full-bodied ferns, unique pre-planted pots, and robust vegetable plants designed for maximum performance in our region. We still feature the highly sought-after and vigorous Sumo petunias, with new cultivars added each year.
Our knowledgeable staff at Heartland Nurseries can assist you in planning your flower and vegetable gardens and provide the information you need to succeed. All our plant products are cultivated in our 30,000 square foot facility. Our growing season begins with perennial and tropical propagation in July, extends through fall and winter with annual propagation, and culminates in spring sales from the second weekend in April through May or June. We retail the same potting soil and fertilizer that we use to produce quality plants that are second to none. Gift cards are available in-store.
